Switch GmbH & Co. KG and Giovenzana International B.V. offer now enclosures meeting the directive ATEX94/9/EC.

The ATEX mark (ATmosphères EXplosibles) refers to two European directives concerning the risk of deflagration in potentially explosive atmospheres.

The new enclosures are made of resistant aluminium alloy. The cover is secured to the box with stainless steel screws, the tightness is ensured by a silicone seal. This configuration achieves the degree of protection IP65.

The enclosures meet the requirements of zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 in a temperature range of -20 °C up to +55 °C. An extension of the temperature range is under preparation.

The containers are provided in different colours and sizes. The size of the container is dependend on the maximum power that has to be dissipated.
